Job Purpose:
• The timely production of industry relevant conference programmes in line with the needs of the market
• Develop and grow the respective division by generating new ideas and topics
Key Performance Indicators:
• Programmes produced on time as per the congress timetable and drop schedule
• Ability to produce and manage useable speaker lists/files for event management to follow up
• Tele-research programme content and new conference ideas
• Manage and keep within programme budget
• Drive new business growth through the ability to think across events and regions.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
• Produce industry relevant conference programmes
• Liaise with key professionals/institutions and companies in the production of conference programmes
• To contact suggested speakers and confirm their attendance
• Effectively research topics with relevant industry professionals and the target market
• Develop new ideas/plans for conferences
• Assist in the provision of leads to the sponsorship team
• Work with the divisional manager and other sales team members to produce ideas for conferences
• Identify key opinion leaders/institutions and companies within that area
• Maintain existing and build new relationships to pull together a conference with topics and speakers
• Organise hands on workshops alongside our events with companies
• Assist the marketing department in the formulating the marketing strategy and the relevant distribution of marketing materials (e.g. brochures) to companies and departments
• Liaise and network with speakers at the conferences
• Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility
• Liaise globally through the Informa Group on topics and shared learnings
